Jonathan Stewart:

Foundations aren't meant to be dictated to you. You're not meant to be told what foundations are the correct foundations. If you look at the origin of the word foundations, it's all about laying the basis of and establishing to set to place to make, to lay the bottom of something and that is something that is incredibly important in your business. But it's got to be laid from a foundation of you. From the way that you work, not dictated to you by someone who doesn't understand all of the pieces and the way that you work. What is it that you love to do? How do you work best when you're helping your clients? Is it through one-to-one calls or is it through Voxer or other tools? Now there will be times where there are things you gotta do when you don't want to do them. That is obviously part of what you have in business. But when that happens, how can you make it as easy for you as possible? What foundation can you use to support you in doing something that you may not enjoy quite as much, and that allows you to get back to doing what you do love. What foundations can you put in place that fit the way that you work? A good example of this for me is this podcast. I adore making videos however, the amount of time, it takes me to edit it 's not fun. I don't enjoy it. Whereas this podcast allows me to just hit record. I don't have to worry about how I look and how I feel. I can just hit record and have it in here. I love that on previous episodes, I use tools to support me in that way. Currently I'm recording in de script, which means I just have to come in, open it up, press record. And I've also got preset. Things that just make life easier for me. So I press a couple of buttons. And automatically I have a publishable episode. Your foundations are based on the way that you work. And that starts from what you want, what you have and what you want to do. There are so many things that we have to do on a daily basis as business owners. And sometimes it's easy just to go, oh, I have to do this because somebody else told me to. Don't want to go it alone, reach out to me at simplicity. Dash forward slash s f y
